How to use Fortnite Overshields , how to get 99 overshield fortnite
How to get 100 overshield fortnite - while we never thought we'd see it happen, Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 removed the build mechanic, meaning you'll need to use Overshields instead. Here's what they are, how they work, and how to get them
In place of the disabled building mechanic synonymous with Fortnite comes one of the most significant additions in Battle Royale yet: the Overshield. Let us provide a deeper look at how Fortnite Overshields work in Season 2.
How does the Overshield work? how to get them (how to get 99 overshield fortnite)
Fortnite Overshield is automatically applied to your character, as soon as you log in.
The Overshield grants the player an additional 50% shield and you get it the moment a game starts creating a scenario where players can have up to 250 health and shield combined as the match progresses.

Overshield works just like the normal shield in the game, in that it takes damage before you lose any of your health bars.
the overshield does not take damage from the storm however, and its health bar will be damaged if it manages to get caught in the purple mist.
Can you recharge your Overshield?
As of Fortnite 3 Season 2, you can't find any in-game items that replenish your Overshield if you lose a bit.
Well, there is a particular reason for that. See, your shield naturally "recharges" when you don't participate in the Fortnite war for at least 5-10 seconds.
So you can work to work “battle avoidance” into your game plan for the foreseeable future, as there are now perks to hiding in a bush to catch a breather.
What else has changed?
Along with the Overshield, Epic has reworked other mechanics to compensate for the loss of the player's ability to build.
Players have faster running speeds, higher jumping abilities, and the ability to cover objects on battlefields.
When will construction return to Fortnite?
As of now, we know that the build mechanic should be back in Fortnite by March 29.
But, what we don't know is whether Overshield will remain in the game once the building returns or Epic Games will scrap this concept altogether.
Either way, players may want to start playing with 50% less health as we get closer to the end of March to get used to a game without the potentially ephemeral concept.
