How to upgrade Armor in Atlas Fallen - The German video game development studio Deck13 has released its latest title, Atlas Fallen. Originally revealed in August 2022 during Gamescom, the game finally saw its official release on August 10, 2023, after suffering a delay. 

Atlas Fallen marks a new chapter for the studio, as it was previously known for releasing Souls-like titles like The Surge series. It is an action RPG title that takes inspiration from games like God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn. And like many other action RPG titles, players will have to deal with many dangerous enemies and bosses. And to resist their attacks, you will need to have good armor. Upgrading any type of armor in Atlas Fallen will require one main item: anvil. Well, finding them won't be that hard as every major area and settlement in the game will have one. In addition, they also serve as checkpoints in the game, so you will eventually have to keep an eye out for them.

The anvils in Atlas Fallen are hidden, as if they were buried deep underground. However, the game gives you enough hints to locate them easily. To find an anvil, scan your surroundings for glowing cracks in the arena along with Nyaal's glowing blue light. When you find something that matches this description, approach it and use the Pick Up ability to pick up the buried anvil. 

Now, interact with the anvil, after which Nyaal himself will manifest. Interact one more time, and this will open the main menu. You'll see a lot of options here, but for the purpose of this guide, select the one called Armor Upgrades.

Now when it comes to upgrading armor, players will need Essence Dust. These can be acquired by completing quests, exploring, or defeating enemies in the game. Like most other games, the armor in Atlas Fallen can also be upgraded multiple times. As such, try to gather as much Essence Dust as possible. 

Additionally, players also have a chance to receive Perk Token when they upgrade their armor. These can be very useful as they will unlock Perks.
