If you're working on completing Fortnitemares quests, you may be wondering where to find the Buried Ghost Chests. These chests are a little harder to find than regular chests, but we've got all the locations you can search below to make it easier!

All buried chest locations in Fortnite

Buried chests can be found in a few different locations around the map, particularly in greater abundance in rifts along the borders of different biomes:

• Northwest Shady Stilts
• The stone tower landmark
• Aegis Temple Landmark
• Brutal bastion
• The landmark of the Hall of Whispers
• Winter Biome Southeast Rift
• Autumn Biome Southwest Rift
• Burning Lighthouse Landmark

How to find buried ghost chests in Fortnite

Not all buried chests are ghost buried chests. To find the buried ghost chests, you must try to spot a ghost that will point you to the correct digging location. I found it easiest to locate them by placing them near the normal buried chest locations (shown above) or near coastlines, but technically they can spawn anywhere.
 

These ghosts will appear with white markers around them and point towards a glowing dig spot somewhere nearby where you can find the chest.

How to search for a ghost buried chest in Fortnite

Buried ghost chests are a little more difficult to locate because they won't be out in the open or make any kind of sound like regular chests. A Ghost Buried Chest will appear as a glowing mound of dirt or rocks on the ground, and you'll need to use your pickaxe to dig it up until you see the chest emerge from the ground. Buried Ghost Chests can look exactly like normal chests, and usually also contain the same type of loot as them.
