How to use the shockwave hammer in Fortnite

 

The Shockwave Hammer is one of the more unique melee weapons in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1. It allows players to damage and launch opponents into the air. It can also be used as a neat rotation tool to position yourself and your teammates to safety. To hit and deal damage with the Shockwave Hammer, simply aim it at the player and click the primary fire button. Players must be close to enemies to deal damage and send them flying.

Similarly, to ricochet and launch yourself through the air, hold the alternate fire button. You can also tap the alternate fire button to bounce once with the Shockwave Hammer. This new melee weapon is incredibly powerful and one of the best rotation tools in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1.

The Shockwave Hammer has four charges, and you must wait for two charges to regenerate before taking an action. Charge regeneration takes about 15 seconds, so it's best to have another weapon ready.
